What is nano aerogel?
Nano aerogel, also known as nano xerogel. It is an advanced insulation building material developed by nanotechnology. 6. Convenient construction: The aerogel has a thin thickness, muscular tensile strength, high compressive strength, low density, lightweight, and it can be cut without professional tools and equipment.
Other applications of nano aerogels
Nano aerogels can also be made into nano aerogel felts, which increases the application range of nano aerogels.
Nano aerogel felt is an excellent material with excellent thermal insulation properties. Its pore size is smaller than the mean free path of air molecules under atmospheric pressure, so air molecules are approximately static in the aerogel gap, thus avoiding air convection and heat transfer. The volume density of aerogel is very low, the curved path of the nano-particle structure also hinders the gas state and solid heat conduction, and the interstitial wall can reduce the heat radiation to the lowest level. These three aspects work together, and almost all heat transfer methods are blocked, that is, aerogel achieves the remarkable heat insulation effect of other materials, even far lower than the thermal conductivity of several kinds of air at room temperature of 0.025 W/mK, Less than 0. 018 W/mK.
