Helen is one of the presenters of Radio 4's Making History, broadcast on Tuesdays at 3 pm.

Helen made her debut as a presenter for BBC Four in the summer of 2011 with a film entitled A RENAISSANCE EDUCATION: THE SCHOOLING OF SIR THOMAS MORE'S DAUGHTER.

She has now made three programmes based on her book SHE-WOLVES, with independent producer Matchlight, for the BBC. As SHE-WOLVES: ENGLAND'S EARLY QUEENS, they were broadcast on BBC Four and BBC Two in 2012.

SHE-WOLVES is the only presenter-led history series to feature in the Radio Times critics' list of the Top 40 TV Shows of 2012.

The BBC Four series SHE-WOLVES: ENGLAND'S EARLY QUEENS is now available to buy on DVD and iTunes.

'... the excellent Helen Castor, who has the knack of appearing in shot without making you wish she would go away ...'

Clive James, The Telegraph, January 2012
