Helen is one of the presenters of Radio 4's Making History, broadcast on Tuesdays at 3 pm.

She has appeared on Radio 4's The Long View and Woman's Hour, and in the States on National Public Radio's On Point.

Helen made her debut as a presenter for BBC Four in August 2011 with a film entitled A RENAISSANCE EDUCATION: THE SCHOOLING OF SIR THOMAS MORE'S DAUGHTER.

She has now made three programmes based on her book SHE-WOLVES, with independent producer Matchlight, for BBC Four. As SHE-WOLVES: ENGLAND'S EARLY QUEENS, they were first broadcast on Wednesday 7 March, Wednesday 14 March and Wednesday 21 March 2012.

'A Renaissance Education (BBC Four), curated by the excellent Helen Castor, who has the knack of appearing in shot without making you wish she would go away...'
